Fish Oil: Building A Smarter Brain

Posted by Michael Byrd on Feb 28 2007 | Tagged as: Fish Oil

Would you like to be smarter? How about improving your memory? Maybe you’re not pleasant to be around or you’re having trouble concentrating or focusing. Well, never fear. No matter where you’re starting, you can improve things.

We’re living in a very fast paced society and most people rely heavily on restaurants and fast foods. It’s very easy to shrug off healthy foods as too time consuming to prepare. But, most of these fast, packaged foods offer absolutely no nutrition for your brain or your overall health.

The nutrition these processed and packaged foods are missing are the omega 3 oils that come from fish or fish oil supplements. Studies show that the omega 3 fatty acids, especially DPA and DHA, are necessary for proper brain health. Studies have shown that when the level of the omega 3s in the body is raised, people experience less violent behavior, less Alzheimer’s disease, less depression, bipolar disorder and manic depression and better sleep. So I’m sure you can see why fish oils are now being called “food for the brain”.

When a baby is born, more than 70% of their brain is made up of omega 3s. And, the only place a baby can get omega 3 oils is from their mother’s diet. New research is even showing that high levels of omega 3 in the brain at birth can lead to improved intelligence and moods much later in life.

Now, even if you weren’t lucky enough to have high omega 3 levels in your brain when you were born, there is something you can do about it right now.

The first thing is to get more fish into your diet. However, not everyone’s going to be willing to do this. A lot of people don’t eat fish because they don’t like the taste of it or they’re afraid of heavy metals like mercury. And let’s not forget vegetarians who are not eating fish. They have absolutely no way of getting the omega 3 that their bodies need. These are not the same oils that are found in flax or flaxseed oil.

For those of you who fall into any of the above categories, you need to get started on a pure omega 3 fish oil supplement like Salmon Oil Plus right away. It will give your brain the nutrients it so desperately needs. And, you’ll be amazed at your results. You’ll be thinking clearer, remembering more and feeling happier. So get started today.

Fish Oil: Getting Rid of Migraines The Natural Way

Posted by Michael Byrd on Feb 27 2007 | Tagged as: Fish Oil

Millions of people are looking for safe, effective ways to get rid of their headaches. There’s no surprise there. A migraine headache can be totally disabling. And who has time for that?

Well thankfully, modern science is bringing more and more information out into the light that can help migraine sufferers. What I’m talking about here is the research that’s been done on the omega 3 fatty acids that are found in fish.

These omega 3s have been proven to help decrease the pain and frequency of migraine headaches. That sounds good, doesn’t it?

And who wouldn’t want a safe and natural alternative to the controversial painkillers that are on the market? We all do, and supplementing with fish oil is the answer.

The fatty fish that live in cold water are rich in the omega 3 fatty acids that you need so desperately. Some of these fish are salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines and anchovies.

I’m willing to bet that if you’re suffering from migraines, you’re not getting the recommended three to five servings of these fatty fish a week. Actually, I don’t know anyone who eats that much fish. Our family will sometimes have fish three times in a week, but never five.

So what should you do? How can you make up for all the fish that’s missing in your diet?

I believe the answer is by supplementing your diet with Salmon Oil Plus. It’s the only fish oil supplement that provides all 8 family members of the omega 3 fatty acids – just the way nature intended. It’s as close are you’re going to get to actually eating fish.

Some of our customers find that if they take a few Salmon Oil Plus capsules just as they feel a migraine coming on, that they can stop it before it develops fully.

And when you add Salmon Oil Plus to your daily routine, there’s a very good chance that you’ll see an immediate reduction in the frequency and severity of your migraines. And, like many of our customers, you may see your migraines go away forever.

Fish Oil: Controlling Your Diabetes – How Fish Oil Can Help

Posted by Michael Byrd on Feb 25 2007 | Tagged as: Fish Oil

If you have diabetes, chances are you are searching for ways to properly manage it, feel better, and get control of your life. Diabetes is a chronic disease that can bring many complications. Amd, left out of control or untreated, diabetes can spell disaster.

Controlling your diabetes is vital to the quality of your future and your ability to live a healthy and productive life. It can bring severe and life-threatening complications if not managed properly. And, untreated diabetes can lead to blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, nerve damage, and death. People with diabetes also have double the risk of heart disease and two to four times the risk of stroke.

There are five important steps to controlling your diabetes. These five steps can help prevent complications, as well as allow you to live a normal, productive life.

Step #1
Obviously, controlling your blood sugar is the most important part of controlling your diabetes. To get good control requires regular blood sugar testing. Several factors affect your blood sugar. The only way to determine cause and effect is by checking your blood sugar on a daily basis at scheduled times throughout the day.

Step #2
The second step to controlling your blood sugar is diet. The foods you eat plays a major role in blood sugar as well as weight loss. According to Harvard Medical School researchers, diabetic women who ate fish just once a week had a 40% less risk of heart disease than women who had fish less than once a month. So, you need to be sure to add fish or a fish oil supplement like Salmon Oil Plus to your diet immediately.

Step #3
The third important step to controlling your blood sugar is exercise. Exercise can help to significantly bring blood sugar under control. If you haven’t had physical activity in a while, be sure to discuss with your physician before beginning any exercise program.

Step #4
Controlling your diabetes is a major undertaking. You should not attempt by yourself. It is important to have health care professionals to help you. Make sure to choose professionals that match your medical needs as well as your personality. You must feel free to talk openly about your condition, if you’re to receive the best care and assistance.

Step #5
The fifth step to controlling your diabetes is stress management. High levels of stress can affect your blood sugar as well as cause other health conditions. It is important to learn and practice stress management. Consult your physician for recommended stress management practices.

Basically, what I recommend that you do is remove the sugar from your diet and add (or increase) the amount of fatty fish or fish oil that you’re getting. In fact, the American Heart Association is so confident of fish oil benefits that they recommend everyone, including diabetics, eat fatty fish at least two or three times a week.

So if you’re already diabetic, or just want to protect yourself from this disease, you need to start eating fatty fish like salmon, tuna or sardines at least three times each week. If you can’t do that, you need to start supplementing your diet with Salmon Oil Plus. It will give you the recommended amount of 1 g of DHA and EPA. That’s just what you need to stay healthy.
