You’re now 65. Do you still enjoy traveling with the family for vacations? Or do stiff joints, foggy memories, and other chronic diseases keep you from getting the most out of your senior years?
Don’t worry, it’s not yet too late. You can still live an active, happy life at the age 65 and beyond. You can avoid being a part of some negative statistics claiming that more than 30% of baby boomers have at least three chronic diseases.
One of the most life-threatening diseases among baby boomers is heart disease. In fact, these remain to be the number 1 killer disease in the US as well as in other parts of the globe. But you have the power to fight this disease.
How do you do it? It’s easy! Just start following this healthy guide right now!
Make healthy little changes in your diet.
Say “Yes” to fresh fruits and vegetables and “No” to fast foods, overly processed foods, and several other enriched foods. They are laden with chemicals and preservatives that are not, in any way, good for your health.
As much as possible, eat whole grains instead of white bread. The more natural, the better. Live by this credo and be healthier for longer!
Cut the fat out of your kitchen. Choose lean meat and low fat dairy instead.
Start moving those muscles!
Although diet is still the most important factor in reducing the risk of heart disease, having a regular exercise routine increase your chances of preventing it altogether. It helps you control weight gain, lower hemocysteine levels and raise your good cholesterol level (HDL).
My suggestion – try walking. Studies show that walking for at least half an hour brings tremendous benefits for your heart and overall health condition.
Give up smoking.
Cigarette smoking has been associated with almost every serious disease such as heart disease and lung cancer. It has also been linked to laryngitis, pancreatic and colon cancer, and stroke.
Add good quality fish oil to your diet.
The omega 3 in fish oil provides natural relief for aching joints, lack of energy and poor memory. It has been proven to prevent the development of chronic illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and some forms of cancer. It’ll make you feel better without adding extra calories!
Now, what could you probably be waiting for? Take omega 3 fish oil supplement and enjoy your senior years by being active, lively, and disease-free!

How could you be a more responsible parent?
Well, there are many ways. Raising them well and providing for all of their needs such as food, shelter, and clothing count. But how would you know that what you are giving them is right for them?
Let’s take food for example. Millions of today’s youth are suffering from many health problems like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, obesity, and serious self esteem issues. Could we be causing the problems without ever knowing it? What could we be doing wrong?
Research proves that these health complications are caused by poor childhood diet and lifestyle. Can you believe that some parents even serve soft drinks to their babies? Now, can you call that responsible parenting?
Here’s more – recent study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association showed that many of today’s babies and toddlers are eating terrible diets such as Big Macs, fries, potato chips, cheese curls, cookies, candies, and other junk foods. Are you doing the same with your kids?
And if this doesn’t horrify you enough, take a look at this. Researchers from Tufts University of Medicine found that one third of the children they surveyed haven’t even eaten a single piece of fruit and vegetable all their lives!
It doesn’t surprise me at all to know that more than 25% of preschoolers are overweight or obese. And the worse part is that the percentage continually grows at an alarming rate! Based on statistics, this condition will be much worse in a matter of years. And it may increase cases of heart diseases and diabetes by 80% and 90%, respectively.
See, what comes out of poor lifestyle and unhealthy diet, and how can we solve that problem? We, as parents, have the chance to do something about it, but it should start within ourselves.
Let us be good role models for our children. Let us develop a healthy and active lifestyle, and then teach our children to do the same. Do this and you can be sure that later on, your children will greatly appreciate all the good habits you instilled in them.

If there’s one nutrient that should be a part of our daily diet, it has to be omega 3. Omega 3 essential fatty acids play a very crucial role in our health and overall wellness.
However, it’s sad to note that almost 85% of the population in most industrialized countries, including the United States, does not take in the recommended daily amounts of this essential nutrient. A large number of people in these countries do not have enough DHA and EPA, two of the most important fatty acids found in the omega 3 family. And experts agree that a deficiency in these nutrients may lead to a higher incidence of premature aging, arthritis, obesity, diabetes, some forms of cancer, and even heart disease!
Omega 3 EFAs have long been missing in our modern diets so long that most people don’t even know that they need them. Sad but true. And it’s even a sadder scenario for vegetarians. All this time, they believed their eating habits were health promoting. But unfortunately, that may not be the case. Why? Because their rate of omega 3 deficiency is about 93%! That’s quite a high number, if you ask me.
So you know that your body needs omega 3 but do you know how much you really need? An average person needs about 650 mg of DHA and EPA fatty acids daily while those with serious health problems may require about 1 to 10 grams daily to regain their health.
Pregnant and nursing mothers need a lot of omega 3, too. Experts say that they should take in at least 1000 mg of pure and balanced omega 3 on a daily basis to take care of their health as well as their baby’s needs. However, studies reveal that a mere 2% of these mothers are getting enough omega 3 in their diets. Sadly, the vast majority receives a mere 18% of what they need.
So, what do you need to do now? Well, the solution is really quite simple – make sure that you get enough of what you need. And you can get this either by eating healthy omega 3 rich fish or by supplementing your diet with good quality fish oil supplements such as Salmon Oil Plus.
With Salmon Oil Plus, you can be sure that you’re getting your daily requirements of DHA and EPA, along with all the omega 3 fatty acids necessary for optimum health. And you can be sure that you’re getting it from a product that is guaranteed to be 100% pure, safe, and effective.
