Fish Oil Fast Fact #302: Can Your Salmon Help You Finish a Marathon?

If you are a runner, a biker, a swimmer or any other type of athlete, then you likely are familiar with the soreness and aches that come with and after a hard workout. And sometimes, you probably have to admit, those aches and pains may delay or even cancel the next day’s workout when they get too severe.

When you are training just to stay in shape, it might not matter all that much if you miss a workout here or there, but if you are training on a deadline – say, for a marathon – then you may not feel like you have those days to spare.

While omega 3 fish oil will not give you super speed, it can help with those aches and pains. Salmon oil is full of omega 3 fatty acids that, among other things, reduce inflammation of the joints and muscles, which in turn reduces aches and pains.
