- Be mentally and physically active. Seniors who are both physically and mentally fit have 30% less risk of giving in to the disease.

- Maintain a healthy weight. People who maintain a healthy weight, have low blood pressure and low cholesterol greatly reduce the risk of being afflicted with the disease.
